  A: Patients are a candidate for a rhinoplasty if their facial growth is complete, and they are physically healthy. At the consultation, we will review your medical history and perform a nasal examination. X-rays or a CT scan may be required, depending on the individual. If a patient has a prior history of a nasal fracture or sinusitis, an additional evaluation will be needed. Individuals with a significant underlying medical disease will require medical clearance for surgery.

  The typical candidate for breast augmentation is a woman in good overall health, meaning no serious illnesses and preferably no habits of alcohol or tobacco use.

  A: Patients usually require 1 full workweek off following breast reduction.  This procedure is performed under general anesthesia as directed by our board certified anesthesiologists, here at the Philadelphia Surgi Center.  As a result, patients feel tired and worn out for a few days after surgery.  No lifting over 10 pounds should be performed until 1 full month after surgery.
