Didn't help much

I went to DPT back in 2000 for Network Engineering. We were taught Windows NT which was obsolete about half way through my year there but they couldn't or wouldn't change the curriculum. My teacher quit midway through the course for another job, which sucked. They did get an interview with Comcast for me but it wound being for customer service- internet making 10.00/hr. It wasn't a network job but it was a job. There were just too many graduates from different computer schools and not enough jobs. All in all, I didn't really learn much here and this school, like many others, promises you the world. They are a business, after all, and need to get as many people in the seats as possible. By the way, DPT doesn't offer computer courses anymore. I wonder why?

I taught there for 4 years and all they cared about was money. At a time when everyone was on pentium II's we were still had 486 systems, I was the only teacher who was A+ certified and came from the real world, all the others were students they could not get jobs for so they hired them. There was never any direction for the teachers just keep them here at all costs. If a student did not show up or did poorly we were not allowed to fail him because most were getting gov't aide that went straight to us. When Asset came to renew our accreditation they never checked our books more than once the curriculum books we put on the shelf that they were to review were about ten pages front and back while the middle 150 pages were BLANK. We would hand them the two books that were actually good and distract them from the others. I tried to report them several times to local papers but was told they would not cover the story because the spent a lot on advertising with those papers same thing with the T.V. news shows. They talked to me and seemed interested them would say they spoke to their editor and "he said they spend a lot on advertising" talking asset and they said they spoke to the school and they denied any wrong doing. Now I hear the I.R.S. shut them down gee could it be I was right.
