Did some business with Ira Goldfarb back in 2007 or 2008. I agree with the small business owner in Alaska that he is a deadbeat. This guy personfies all the negative stereotypes of a greedy and unscrupulous businessman. I found him to be dishonest and unreasonable in his business dealings. In my opinion he could care less about the welfare of animals. I'm sure he will be very successful in business but G-d help him if there is such a thing as karma...

See ya Doggie Style! I've been a relatively regular customer of yours for a couple years now... I like that you're a small, local place, and I've been loyal because you're close by and carry Wellness dog food. I've always known you were overpriced which is why I ONLY go to you for dog food and an occasional treat, but you crossed the line tonight. My 30 lbs bag of dog food which I have willingly forked over $45 for in the past is now $65?!?! My shopping in your store has come to a screaching halt. And it's not just the money (well....it is mainly the money) but when I asked "Did this go up?" (even though I already knew the answer) the clerk casually asked her co-worker if the price on the Wellness had gone up, to which he replied, "Hmm. I don't know, it might have." Now THAT, my friends, is quality customer service. I speak up and say, "Yeah, it did. I used to pay $45". Clerk: "Yeah, doggie style raised the price on everything". Me: "That's a big jump, no?" Clerk: "Yeah, well...the economy." Please stop, you're not fooling me anymore doggie style. Stop screwing people even more than normal by blaming it on the economy. Guess what Doggie Stlye? With a quick Google search I found not one but two places near by that I can get the same product, shockingly- it's cheaper. Cheerio!

The stores may be OK, but the owner, Ira Goldfarb, is a deadbeat. We are a small vendor in Alaska and have sent numerous invoices and contact with no response for our measly $1800 for moose antlers used for dog chews. It is a shame when a retired couple on fixed income cannot rely on the good word of a businessman.

I love this place!!!!

I recently moved to Olde City and went to Doggie Style. I love this store. The first time I was there was a guy there that was super helpful with the questions I had about switching my dogs food. I have now been there about 4 or 5 times and always find the staff wonderful and even got to meet the owner Claudia who was very nice and engaging and even talked me out of buying a few toys that would not work for my super chewer dog which I really, really appreciated. I would recommend anyone to go to Doggie style!!!!

Scam ALERT Doggie Style, watch out for Ira Goldfarb puppy mill dogs

I used to work for Doggie Style, however, I QUIT because of the owner(Ira Goldfarb) and the upper management (Claudia Gutierrez) and their complete and utter lack of concern for the well being of their store cat(s), among other things.

Here is a simple list of why I advocate for boycotting Doggie Style:

1. The store cat at the head store on Market Street got violently sick (caught something from the PSPCA kittens), and was quarantined by the owner in the back room without food or water for THREE DAYS. He was then found by an employee who unknowingly found him dead, in a pile of his own vomit and feces. [RIP Sugar Daddy <3]

2. The owner only hires staff that are great at selling things, or cute as a button.

3. United K9 is the owner's company that copies off of other companies (ie. Buddy Belts, Zack and Zoey, Grrrggles, Premier, to name a few) and cheaply mass produces the copied toys in China for really cheap labor. Business savvy, yes. Morally right, NO!

4. The owner and his 'wife' (Secretary until the exwife was out of the picture) do NOT even take care of their own dogs. Funny how their bulldog and chihuahua mix are both suffering from a horrible horrible skin condition that they refuse to treat (probably because it is due to them being locked up in crates all day and night, soaking and festering in their own urine and feces), and yet their BEGGING for a licensed vet for their stores. Come ON!

5. The owner is only concerned about business, and not about the welfare of the animals he pretends to help.

6. Adult cats from the PSPCA are sent back to the shelter because they are 'sick', but really they do not attract enough attention for the store. Kittens are cuter, of course.

7. Doggie Styles and renditions thereof are popping up all over the country, with puppies and kittens from who-knows-where galore. They appear to be cute, trendy, friendly.. but if you truly and sincerely care about the well being of these animals and the affect of supporting this store, then BOYCOTT DOGGIE STYLE!

Oh, I almost forgot-

8. Oporation Ava is NOT a nonprofit organization, and is getting puppies from cheap breeders in PA to make a profit for Doggie Style and to attract more customers. They're convincing, yes, but please do not be fooled. Look at their website- http://oporationava.org/adoptblog/, they cannot even spell SHEPHERD for goodness sakes. The owner specifically told his employees to market these dogs as 'rescue' dogs, even though he clearly said himself that they were NOT rescued, and instead BOUGHT and will be sold for a large profit. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. ADOPT FROM A REAL RESCUE!!!

Thanks, and please support local business that truly care about animals (I'm positive there is a local pet store a block or two away from a Doggie Style that are trying desperately to compete with the scandals and lies fronted with doggie strollers and pom pom dresses.)
