About Phelps, Wisconsin: Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest makes up a large portion of Phelps WI and this draws many people to the area and the surrounding towns. Surrounding towns include Land O' Lakes, Conover, Eagle River, Iron River Michigan and Watersmeet Michigan. The majority of Phelps land is actually national forest land, which means there is plenty to explore! And with roughly 1200 residents, you will find the peace and solitude you have been looking for here.
