- Dental ExaminationIn the early stage of gum disease, a condition known as gingivitis, where gums may become red, swollen and bleed easily. In the more advanced stage (periodontal disease), teeth can loosen and even fall out. Good oral hygiene and regular dental examinations are essential in the prevention and early detection of gum disease.
- Oral Cancer ScreeningIt is recommended that patients perform monthly oral cancer screenings at home in order to detect any changes as soon as they occur.
- Teeth CleaningTeeth will accumulate plaque, tartar buildup, and stain even with a patient’s good oral hygiene practices. If bacterial deposits are not professionally removed on a regular basis, gingivitis or periodontal disease will develop and progress. If left untreated, periodontal disease can lead to tooth loss, as well as other oral and overall health issues. We offer teeth cleaning for children and adults. We welcome families who are seeking general dentistry, regular checkups, and professional teeth cleaning.

- Fillings
- Resin CompositeThese new substances have a white hue and can be made from several different origins such as composite resin, glass ionomer cement (GIC), and porcelain ceramics. These materials are very resilient and long lasting in addition to their visual advantages, but can become discolored over time. Just like metal fillings, these can be set and cured within one visit to the dentist, although they may take a little bit longer.
- VeneersPorcelain veneers are thin pieces of porcelain sculpted into the desired tooth shapes and tinted with careful precision to match the teeth around them. When correctly created and applied, porcelain veneers are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth, and they can be even more resilient than the natural enamel of your teeth.
- CrownsWhere damage to a person’s teeth is extreme or in cases of decay, fractures, or old fillings, we can use porcelain crowns to make the smile appear “as new”. This is an extremely reliable technique for repairing the most severe of dental problems, even permanently replacing missing teeth to offer a complete smile and a functional bite. We are renowned for the quality of our work and the fantastic changes we make for people using this technology.
- BridgesA dental bridge is a device used to replace missing teeth. It attaches artificial teeth to adjacent natural teeth, called abutment teeth. Bridges are either permanently attached (fixed bridges), or they can be removable. Dental bridges are natural-looking tooth replacements that help maintain facial structure, reduce stress on the jaw and fill in the gaps caused by missing teeth. They work by attaching the artificial teeth to adjacent natural teeth, called abutment teeth. Bridges can either be permanently attached (known as fixed bridges), or removable.
- Root Canal TreatmentRoot canal treatment (also called a root canal) is done when decay will likely damage or has already killed a tooth. During a root canal, a dentist or endodontist removes the pulp from the center of a tooth and fills the pulp cavity. This can prevent the development of a painful infection in the pulp that may spread to other teeth. A root canal can also treat an infection that has developed into an abscessed tooth. This procedure can relieve toothache, stop infection, and promote healing.
- Deep CleaningIf the periodontal disease progresses, it can destroy supporting structures, including the tooth root, soft tissues, and jawbone. In some patients with advanced gum disease, a procedure called scaling and root planing may also be necessary. Commonly referred to as a deep teeth cleaning, scaling and root planning allows Dr. Likakis to remove the damaging bacterial deposits, and leave a clean tooth and root surface. After a deep cleaning, patients can often maintain gum health through diligent brushing and flossing.
- DenturesWhen the decision has been made that the remaining teeth are non-salvageable and indicated for extraction in preparation for the transition to a full denture, there are two basic alternatives. The first one would be to extract the remaining teeth, and wait several weeks or months for the areas to heal before making the denture. Most people usually don’t choose this option because it means that they will have to function without any teeth during this time. As you would expect, most patients would find this objectionable, and therefore in most cases, this is not the chosen alternative. The other alternative, which is the far more popular choice is that of an immediate denture.
- Dental ImplantsDental implants are metal posts or frames that are surgically positioned into the jawbone beneath your gums. Once in place, they allow your dentist to mount replacement teeth onto them.
