Emergency Response Service is a 24-hour functional program that serves the residents in Peoria, Ill. The program offers crisis intervention, health assessment and referral services for law enforcement units, hospitals and social service agencies. Operational since 1975, it provides assistance with legal rights related to behavioral health, housing and family issues. Emergency Response Service offers supportive counseling techniques for interventions. In addition, the program s team of crisis counselors responds to psychiatric emergencies, suicide interventions, noncriminal police cases, and family and relationship conflicts. It is a part of Fayette Companies, which is a behavioral health organization serving individuals with mental illnesses and substance use and co-occurring disorders.
