Bard Optical provides eye care products and service to patients in more than 15 locations throughout central Illinois. Diana J. Hall, who was also the dispensing optician, cofounded it in 1981. By 1989, the business had added several locations and a full-service lab and hard carved a niche as a customer responsive eye care retailer. The Peoria, Ill.-based company serves patients of all ages and eye care needs and will ship products anywhere throughout the world. It has been in the top 100 optical businesses in the United States for several years and has received the Small Business of the Year Award from the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce.
