- CrownsOften, when a piece of a tooth fractures off or has a large cavity it will need to be restored to it’s full form to regain it’s original function, strength and esthetics. This is accomplished by cementing a lab fabricated crown over the remaining tooth structure. Crowns are made from materials such as gold alloys, base metals, porcelain and zirconia.
- BridgesAre you missing a tooth or several teeth? One option to replace them is to fabricate a dental bridge. Bridges are just like crowns only instead of one tooth, they have multiple units connected together. Bridges are permanent like crowns so you don’t have to remove them to clean them.
- Root Canal TreatmentIf a cavity is so deep that it encroaches on the nerve in the center of a tooth, or if the nerve dies or becomes inflamed, usually the tooth will require root canal therapy. This is essentially removing the nerve inside the tooth so that the tooth is no longer vital or “live”. In most cases, a tooth that has had a root canal will require a crown.
- DenturesAnother option to replace missing teeth is to fabricate a partial denture. Partial dentures usually contain a metal framework with clasps that hook onto existing teeth. Partial dentures are removable for easy cleaning.
- Dental ImplantsMini implants are smaller than regular implants and the biggest advantage is that sometimes a restoration can be placed on top of the mini implant without the need to wait several months for the implant to integrate with the bone.

- Gum SurgeryThe tissue surrounding each tooth is called the periodontium. This consists of gum tissue, ligaments and bone. When inflammation of the gums (gingivitis) progresses, it can lead to periodontitis. Periodontitis is when the bone that anchors each tooth starts to recede.. If this condition is not treated, it can lead to tooth mobility and tooth loss. One way to treat this disease is to perform scaling and root planing where we go below the gum line and remove the bacteria that causes periodontitis as well as any tartar that is stuck to the tooth or root surface. In some cases, gum surgery will be necessary.
- Tooth ExtractionsIf a tooth is too badly broken down or what we call “hopeless”, we will extract it. We perform most tooth extractions. When a tooth is extracted, most times it will need to be replaced with either an implant, bridge or partial denture.
- Orthodontics
- BracesSometimes patients want to straighten their teeth for esthetic reasons or to improve function and to decrease the likelihood of plaque retention and tooth decay. One option we provide is clear tray aligners. They fit over your teeth and are barely noticeable. They can be removed for easy cleaning and in some cases, full treatment is less expensive than traditional band and wire braces.
- Teeth WhiteningAlmost everyone wants to have white teeth. A simple, effective solution that gets better results than over the counter products is whitening trays.
