Established in 1982, Lutheran Services Florida is a nonprofit organization that offers community-based services throughout Florida. The organization provides various services, including crisis counseling and foster and adoption care. It serves individuals with AIDS and HIV through its Ryan White Program. Lutheran Services Florida offers transitional and permanent housing opportunities. The organization provides nutrition, case management, and dental and medical care services. Additionally, it offers refugee resettlement services and assists with work permits, immigrant petitions and applications for citizenship. Lutheran Services Florida also works in association with churches and communities. The organization offers job training and assistance services. It also provides emergency shelter homes for youths. Lutheran Services Florida maintains one of its youth shelters in Pensacola, Fla.
