Asim Ahmed, DO, is an electrophysiologist and cardiologist with Ascension Medical Group Sacred Heart. Dr. Ahmed is board-certified in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. He provides comprehensive care to adults with heart rhythm disorders. Dr. Ahmed has a special interest in diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation and flutter and ventricular tachycardia. During his residency and cardiology fellowship, he served as both chief resident and chief fellow and was named resident and fellow of the year for two sequential years. He then completed advanced training in cardiac electrophysiology, where his passion for medical education led to multiple publications and presentations. Outside of the office, Dr. Ahmed enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, reading, sketching, listening to podcasts, cooking and traveling.
