- Macular DegenerationMacular degeneration is a deterioration of the central portion of the retina, the inside layer of the eye that records the images we see and sends them through the optic nerve from the eye to the brain for processing. The macula, or the center of the retina, is responsible for focusing central vision in the eye and controls our ability to see and process information.

- CataractsAssessment of cataracts. We take the time to explain findings and options. While there are many "good" cataract surgeons available, we work to identify the very best surgeons and refer appropriately. The difference between a "good" and a superb surgery can be quite significant.
- Eye ExamDr. Chiang is a very caring person who definitely cares about your eyes and wants the best for you. She gave me recommendations and she did a wonderful job at taking care of me during my eye examination. The rest of her team have a wonderful and caring attitude. - AutismDr. Chao is really a general and pediatric optometrist, but offers an unusual and eclectic background. He holds Florida licenses in both optometry and acupuncture, and has interests in nutrition, energetic medicine, and the interaction of genetics and environment in health. His patients know there is no telling what he may be learning and sharing next. His longstanding interests are myopia, nutrition and the role of visual skills on learning. Some current interests are dry eye, macular degeneration, the role of visualization in reading and math, and complementary treatments for allergy, ADHD and autism.
