The Pell City Police Department offers a range of crime prevention and law enforcement services. The department is operated by the government of the City of Pell City in Alabama. It operates explorer and reserve officer programs. The department conducts a variety of inspections and investigations. The Pell City Police Department operates Volunteers In Police Service and Engraver programs, as well as a special operations division. Its DARE Program serves more than 4,300 students. The department offers classes in self-defense for women. Its handgun safety course provides classes in tactics, nomenclature and accuracy. The Pell City Police Department administers the Citizens Police Academy.
