Established in 2005, Pacific Ethanol is one of the leading producers and marketers of low-carbon ethanol and renewable fuels in the West. It is a publicly traded company that owns more than five production plants throughout the West Coast. The company operates a facility in Madera in California with an annual production capacity of over 40 million gallons. It offers ethanol transportation, storage and delivery solutions through third-party service providers in California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Colorado and Idaho. Pacific Ethanol operates Pacific Ag Products, which is a wholly owned subsidiary that markets and distributes grain products to the parent company s production plants. It also maintains Kinergy Marketing, which is responsible for the sale and distribution of ethanol throughout the United States. The company specializes in the areas of government relations, farm management, feed production, commodity pricing, logistics support, finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Pacific Ethanol has a staff of nearly 200 full-time employees and serves oil companies and gasoline marketers.
