Dr. Aurora Gonzalez strives to provide excellent medical care by individualizing every patient without compromising compassionate care. Patient education and face-to-face time with a patient are very important to Dr. Gonzalez. Dr. Aurora Gonzalez graduated valedictorian from Martin High School in Laredo, TX, and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Yale University. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, TX. She was awarded the Outstanding Chief Resident of the year and has been in private group practice since 2000. Dr. Gonzalez currently is a faculty staff member for the St. Joseph Medical Center Ob/Gyn Residency program. Dr. Gonzalez practices general obstetrics and gynecology including well-woman examinations, adolescent gynecology, contraceptive counseling, infertility counseling, cervical dysplasia management, dysfunctional bleeding, pelvic pain and endometriosis management. She has special interest in minimally invasive gynecological procedures, female incontinence, female vaginal (bladder/rectal) prolapse, and tubal ligation reversal/ tubal reanastamoses.
