• Vaccination
  Vaccination against distemper/ parvo after 1 year of age if had series are given at less than 6 months of age, or a protective blood titer against distemper and parvo prior to admittance. If a dog did not have vaccinations at less than 1 year of age then it needs to have the vaccination at least 1 month prior to admittance or have a blood titer test showing immunity to distemper parvo prior to admittance.
• Veterinary Ophthalmology
  Glaucoma is a common condition in which the fluid pressure inside the eye increases, resulting in damage to the optic nerve, followed by loss of vision and blindness. There are two types of glaucoma. Primary, or chronic, glaucoma is hereditary or develops as your pet ages. Secondary, or acute, glaucoma develops as the result of an injury or illness. Because secondary glaucoma can progress rapidly, it is considered an emergency situation.

  Both puppies and kittens should have certain diagnostic tests over the course of their first year. Puppies should be tested for heartworm by 12 months of age, if not before. Kittens, on the other hand, should be tested for feline leukemia (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) during their first exam.

  Exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiscovered otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, ear mites, dental disease, skin issues and allergies.

I started in the Pet Industry over 15 years ago and specialized and focused my time on Dog Training. I am a Nationally Certified Professional Dog Trainer- KA and am an approved AKC evaluator, which enables me to administer Canine Good Citizen and AKC Star Puppy programs and testing.

  If it is your dog's first time to our dog daycare, they are required to complete a "New Dog Introduction". During the introduction, we perform a behavioral assessment and introduce them to our dog "group" so they can play in dog daycare!
