Established in 1998, Motiva Enterprises is a joint venture between Shell and Saudi Refining. It refines, distributes and markets oil products in eastern and southern regions of the United States. It refines and markets gasoline to more than 7,000 gasoline stations. The company s facilities include refineries and product storage terminals with aggregate storage capacity and own and operate refineries capable of refining more than 750,000 barrels per day. Its refiners take crude petroleum pumped from deep earth and turn it into marketable products. The company carries out various refining processes that separate and convert the crude oil into useful products. Its refineries produce consumer products such as gasoline, aviation fuel, lubricating oil and home heating oil, as well as feedstocks for the petrochemicals and plastic industries.
