De Zavala Fifth Grade Center offers a focused curriculum that helps students make an easier transition into intermediate school. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, reading, writing, science and social studies. The center also offers special classes in science and computer skills. De Zavala Fifth Grade Center offers Title 1, special education, bilingual, English as a Second Language, and gifted and talented education programs. Located in Pasadena, Texas, its parent-teacher organization sponsors various parent involvement programs and fundraising events. The school has a library and media center that houses a collection of storybooks, picture dictionaries and puzzles. De Zavala Fifth Grade Center is a part of the Pasadena Independent School District.
