Went here for Dine LA and their calamari appetizer was on point!! It was crunchy even though the calamari were covered in sauce. Really liked this dish. The sushi entrée was okay.

The food here is great, service is amazing. Everyones nice. Prices are okay. I highly reccommend this place

Sushi Roku get an extra star for decor. This is definitely a nice date place that is sure to impress, but if you're a hard core foodie looking for some good eats, I'd look elsewhere.



Sushi Roku is just "O-K" when it comes to the flavor and quality of the sushi. It's good but not "spectacular". They have the standard sushi and rolls, all very good but again ... not worth the price point since they're a bit on the expensive side.



Lastly, the service and staff are wonderful and made the whole dining experience all the better. The waiters and waitresses are very personable and helpful. They've actually tasted the food before so they can provide genuine recommendations.



All in all, it was a good experience, but I probably won't be going back unless it's for a business meeting and I don't have to front the bill, heh.

I'm allergic to shellfish, and normally I shy away from Sushi establishments because I cannot risk cross-contamination of of utensils and the like. So you can imagine my concern when I learned that our workgroup would be having a staff dinner at Sushi Roku, and that the meal would be served "family style." I figured I'd just have some steamed rice and a beverage or two and call it a night, but our manager invited me to order something from the regular menu instead. As I was perusing the entrees and other selections, our host approached me and said I wouldn't be needing the menu and mentioned the family style offering. I was a little put off at first, but explained my food allergy. He politely assured me that he'd been told about my situation, and said there would be some selections I could have. I remained hopeful until a server came out with the first selections, and soon learned that the issue with cross-contamination hadn't been fully addressed, which was completely understandable given the size of our party and the amount of food being served. Still, our host took extra steps to make sure I didn't feel like a burden and that I had ample - and safe - selections to choose from. Turns out everything was delicious, from the "New Style" Chicken Salad, to the Crispy Chicken Kara Age and Asian Style BBQ Short Ribs - all of it was prepared and served with great effort and attention to detail. What could have been an uncomfortable dining experience ended up being quite satisfying! Highly recommended!

I took some out-of-town guests for dinner last week and our meal was fantastic. We had a great waiter who suggested we try the sashimi specials that were truly fantastic. He also directed us to a crab role which we would not have otherwise tried which was also delicious. Great experience overall and we can't wait to go back.
