Silver Birches, one of the leading premium event production companies on the West Coast was founded in 1976 by Walter Hubert as a flower shop, developing innovative and stylish floral designs for a wide range of clients and specialty events.The company evolved over the next two decades into a nationally noted design resource for creative and high-powered parties and special events. In 1984, Silver Birches did the launch party for CBS Cable, reaching beyond its west coast base for the first time. A number of large scale and high visibility assignments followed, including the Ford Awards in 1989, the company s first job with a budget in excess of half a million dollars. In 1990, Silver Birches added landscape and interiors services to its growing list of in-house professional design and event services, and increased staff and space to accommodate the growing business.Silver Birches continued to grow and develop increasingly sophisticated, high budget events with style and recognition from its prominent clients. The company boasts national reach and integrated capabilities that allow it to tackle large scale events such as the launch of Santa Margarita, a complex event sited at 15 separate locations simultaneously. For its first international assignment, the grand opening of the Atlantis Hotel in the Caribbean, Silver Birches not only designed and implemented the creative, but handled the logistics as well including an entire crew on location, all transportation, logistics, and over 3000 invited guests and media. Today, Silver Birches continues to lead and innovate as a full-service event production company. The team of professionals include founder/designer Walter Hubert, vision/creation, Deborah Avren, marketing/business development, Peter Otero, design/production management and Mark Saltzman, entertainment/ communications.
