Parks & Natural Resources Division is a division of City of Pasadena. The department oversees the development and maintenance of Pasadena's parks, nonpark properties and urban forest. It has various operational categories, including park and nonpark maintenance programs, urban forestry program, and park renovation and development projects. The division maintains landscaped areas around city hall, city libraries and median islands. It provides horticulture maintenance, water conservation, litter removal and pest control. It maintains various natural resources in parks, including trees, natural areas, native vegetation and wildlife. The division s forestry program provides several services, such as tree care, planting new trees, removing dead and hazardous trees, maintaining a street tree database, and conducting reforestation projects in parks, municipal grounds, open spaces, medians and streets.
