I stayed there last month and a few months pryer to that... Canterbury has truly undergone a MAKEOVER... the room I stayed in was VERY NICE... with none of the complaints that I have read on here existing... I will admit... the personnel could be more friendly... but I believe there is a language gap causing the conflict ion going on... not for sure how good their English is... but I only seen him when I checked in... so it didn't bother me... I would recommend this place for future stays... I will be booking in again for the 4th of July... the price was cheaper than most of the other hotels in the area and I think that there rooms were larger... and nicer... they don't have a continental going there... but there are ice machines... candy machines and soda machines on the property and there is a restaurant next door to it... and a grocery store if you want to buy something to microwave... my room was VERY NICE AND CLEAN... both times I stayed there... and my lady loved it too....

we enjoyed our stay here in Sept, '09 - reasonably quiet, walked to the ice cream (& more) shop next door... not right in the city... nice breakfast bar with hot waffles.
