Paris Regional was founded by six members of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. Paris Regional Medical Center provides health care services to residents of Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma. It offers a heart care center, surgical center, orthopedics, radiology lab, pediatric services, women's services, emergency services and rehabilitation center. It also operates four clinics that offer medical care in rural areas and a number of wellness programs, support groups, health screenings and fitness centers. It operates more than 360 beds on two campuses. The south campus houses all acute care services. The north campus serves as home to women's health services, the rehabilitation department, a long term care hospital and a privately operated skilled nursing area. A minor care center is also located on the north ampus, in addition to several ancilliary offices. The medical center is located in Paris, Texas, and was founded in 1911. It is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and licensed by the Texas Department of Health.
