  In August 1999, Dr. Jones moved to Paris, Texas, to join the Paris Primary Care Group (PPCG). In 2001, PPCG dissolved and Dr. Jones was a founding partner of Paris Family Physicians before he broke off in 2002 to form Texas and Oklahoma Occupational Medicine Services, a full service occupational medicine clinic designed to meet the medical needs of the area’s businesses and industries.

  Dr. Jones graduated from Texas A&M in 1982. He taught high school and coached basketball for 5 years before entering Texas Tech School of Medicine in 1992. He earned his doctor of medicine in 1996 and finished his residency in Family Medicine at Oklahoma University’s Tulsa branch in 1999.

  We have certified collectors on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide drug and alcohol testing services.  We realize that accidents do sometimes occur in the middle of the night and on holidays or weekends. Since some substances of abuse leave the body quickly, it is important to perform the drug and/or alcohol test as soon as possible following an accident. The Paris Regional Medical Center emergency room will page the on call collector upon request, or you can page the collector directly by calling (903)737-1123, enter pager #213 followed by your phone number. The collector will return your call within a few minutes.

  Texas & Oklahoma Occupational Medicine Services offers a full array of vaccines and immunizations, including Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tetanus and TB skin testing. We also offeryearly flu shots, which can be performed at your place of employment if desired. Nothing can adversely affect productivity in the workplace faster than an outbreak of influenza. In order to ensure adequate supply we ask that flu shots be pre-booked by March 1 for vaccinations to be given in November of the same year.

  Anyone planning travel overseas or to a third world country should check the CDC website for specific recommended vaccinations or prophylactic medications for that country. We are able to help with this process and can order the specific vaccinations or medications for you.

  Employee health fairs are an excellent benefit for an employer to provide for its employees, and in many cases can result in improved health insurance rates. We will come on site and tailor your health fair, depending on how thorough you want it an how much you want to spend. We offer vital sign checks (height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate), body fat analysis, vision screening, hearing screening, blood analysis (as detailed or as limited as you want-typically includes lipid panel, metabolic panel and prostate check for men), bone density evaluation for osteoporosis, and medical education. We can also include a hands on physical exam if needed, and can arrange for mammography or cardiac stress testing upon request.

  Since his residency, when he “moonlighted” in an occupational health clinic, Dr. Jones has enjoyed working with industrial medicine. He has always been drawn to musculoskeletal and sports medicine, which is the majority of what he now practices as he manages work-place injuries. He likes working with patients who are motivated to go back to work and enjoys helping them to achieve that goal. He regularly solicits input from the health and safety directors of local companies and strives to meet any and all needs of the industrial community.
