The East Central Kansas Special Education Cooperative provides a range of services to more than 1,400 students with special education needs between the ages of 3 and 21. The cooperative serves more that five school districts in Miami, Linn, Franklin and Anderson counties in Kansas. Its school districts include Unified School District 288 Central Heights, Unified School District 344 Pleasanton, Unified School District 346 Jayhawk and Unified School District 362 Prairie View. The East Central Kansas Special Education Cooperative features a library that houses over 30,000 pieces of instructional materials for educators who participate in the cooperative. Additionally, it offers occupational, speech and physical therapy services. The East Central Kansas Special Education Cooperative has a technology center composed of a networked computer lab, presentation equipment and computer supplies. The cooperative is located in Paola, Kan.
