MRI scanners combine strong magnetic fields and radio frequencies to create images of your internal organs and structures. They donâ??t use radiation, unlike other imaging tests, and are considered extremely safe for most patients. During an MRI, you will wear a hospital gown and earplugs while laying on a moveable table. You will need to lie completely still as the table is placed inside the MRI scanner to ensure clear imaging.
