Located in Panama, Fla., the Bay County Sheriff's Office is a full-service law enforcement agency that operates various law enforcement divisions, such as uniform patrol, criminal and fire investigation and drug interdiction units. It provides safety and security services for judges, counselors, inmates and the public assembled in the courtroom. The department also operates scuba, crime and accident investigation and snowmobile units. It has a marine patrol, emergency response units, and hostage and crisis negotiation teams. In addition, the Bay County Sheriff's Office serves various writs, processes, orders, subpoenas and other civil papers for local courts and other counties and states.
