General Info
Each year the students are encouraged to participate in outside events. Parades, nursing home shows, school events, and of course our Spring Recitals. The recitals are held each year in May at our local Panama City Marina Civic Center. This host for a very special day for the students. Julie Krawczynski along with her mother founded Julie's School of Dance in 1986. Julie has been teaching for the last 25 years. She has traveled and studied dance all over the U.S. She also studied early childhood education. She has a winning competition team. Each year she travels to the Joe Tremaine dance conventions to further her education and enhance her students who choose to attend the workshop and or competition with her. She has done outstanding choreography for many large companies, as well as choreographed an audition piece for a promotion company and cruise line. She has seen some of her students go on to professional dance colleges and careers. She has coached High School Dance Teams, hosted summer camps, held wonderful workshops, and had the privilege to guest teach at a few Baton Camps. One of her thrills was the Thunder Girls dance troupe. This adult dance troupe traveled and performed at community events many to help raise money for non-profit foundations. Julie along with all of her instructors feels each student has the potential to reach his or her dreams. Each student should receive from their dance education the tools of grace, poise, self-discipline, confidence, the love of the art, and the enjoyment of discovering that they themselves can create the art. Each student should enjoy their dance classes from their heart but also learn the respect that comes along with the history and discipline of dance. Each students smile as they achieve their new dance goal is reward for both the instructor and the student. This reminds us "Life is not measured by the numbers of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away!" Whether the student dances one year or a life time we want to plant the seeds that help in the growth and development of each student. Julie has two wonderful boys ages 22 and 25 one of which taught Hip Hop. Her very supportive husband of 26 years is Jim. The whole family participates in the spring recitals. God has blessed me with the talent of dance and teaching. I know my purpose is to share my love for both with those he sends my way and for this I am forever grateful!
