The Lake Monticello Owners' Association, also known as LMOA, is a private, nonprofit organization that is spread across an area of more than 3,500 acres. It includes lots, single-family homes and condominiums. The organization features a golf course, swimming pool, clubhouse, marina and tennis courts. The Lake Monticello Owners' Association is responsible for community services and thel maintenance of community infrastructure, including roads, buildings, facilities and amenities. The organization offers trash collection, recycling, construction and security services. It maintains a fire department and rescue squad that provide fire protection and medical treatment assistance for people. The Lake Monticello Owners' Association promotes community activities through various social, educational and athletic events, such as rowing championships and arts and crafts shows.
