I've been taking my Shiba Inu there since her first puppy visit...the staff is friendly and the doctors are caring and knowledgeable. I haven't had any problems yet!

Don't trust them. I took my 7 year old cat in on Sunday for an emergency visit because he was constipated. Dr. xrayed him and told me he was impacted and would have to be sedated to remove the impact. My cat had this procedure done before and was home the same day. I was finally told on Tuesday morning I could pick my cat up. I brought him home and took him out of his carrier and broke out in tears. He looked as if he was ready to die. Before I left the vets office I asked all the usual questions, Is he eating and drinking ect. ect. I was told he was and is fine. Tuesday afternoon I called the vets office because I was concerned...My cat was drooling and very lethargic. Dr. told me that was normal. Wednesday morning he couldn't breathe. I rushed him to the CP Clinic. Dr Ramos is an angel she did everything she could to save my cat, but he passed away that evening. My heart is broken....I miss my best friend.
We were referred to them by our regular vet for surgery for our dog. First consult was $47 for a five minute meeting when the doctor looked for about ten seconds and said the dog needed the surgery. Estimate for surgery was just over $600. We gave credit card over phone (50%) to get on the schedule. I dropped off dog and picked up later that day. Final bill was $700. Plus, I had to remind them I'd already paid half. "Oh yeah," was all they could say. Then, two week follow-up to remove stitches estimate was $41. Final bill was $80. I asked what happened. They said estimate didn't include medicine. What's the point of having an estimate then?
Went to their Colonial Park Office and vet was extremely curt, obnoxious, and short tempered and told me to "get out of the office and don't even stop at the front desk" and not come back when I tried to ask about the survival rate of surgery on my 69 year old mother's cat with a thyroid tumor. His response at first was he's an old cat, just like an old person, how well do you expect him to do after surgery? Then he proceeded to place his hands around the cats neck and shake him while telling me to quit asking questions and let my upset mother do the talking. "He only wanted to give us the facts!" I seriously think this man has a severe personality problem or something deeper to behave in such a rage over what should have been a simple consult. My mother has paid them thousands of dollars over the years with several animals and this is the respect she gets? DON'T GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mother tried to talk to him after I left and he informed her "he owns the place" and calls the shots!
My cat had been lethargic, but she was still somewhat active and followed me everywhere, and actually smiled often. The day I took her to the vet they said they had to admit her for dehydration, jaundice and do more testing. That was fine with me because I wanted her feeling better. Within 19 hours they reported she had 2 hours to live & asked me to have her euthanized. Baffled by what happened so quickly the vet said her liver failed & she wasn't coherent anymore or in pain. They would not allow me to drive in to see her. Why? I never expected she was going to die at 8 years of age. She was a healthy cat, for the most part, but I can't get passed how "fishy" this experience has been. My heart aches terribly because of the sudden and unexplained loss of whatever the vet has done to my cat. My best friend & guardian angel is gone forever. I'll have her ashes to keep her close that's if they'll truly be her ashes? I question the expertise of these vets so please review them carefully!
Compared to other animal clinics, I find their service and pricing to be good. They have taken good care of all my pets.
While our dog has gotten reasonable vet care here, the boarding rules are not convenient for people who work. They do not have any option to pick up on Sunday and you may only pick up your animal after 10:30 am on weekdays. You are charged another day's boarding if picked up after 12noon. Most people who work can't accommodate this and then must be away from their pet another day (or two) and are charged for this. I came in to get our pet at 8:30am on a Monday hoping that they would release our dog. Despite the empty waiting room and numerous staff at the desk, I was refused. I guess their policy is more important than good customer relations. I will not take our pet there again. I feel that this is an easy way for them to get extra boarding fees.
We took our animals in for their anual shots, the vet was in a hurry and checked off everything on the check list even when she did NOT check each thing. Our one animal, had a bad reaction to the vaccines for the second time (last year) and again this year after getting shots. This was noted in our animals records from last year. The vet did not check any of the charts before giving the shots. Again, our one animal was sick, not eating or drinking. I called them the next day, told them what was going on. They told me to wait another day and if the animal was not better, to call back. So, the next day, he still was not eating. Then he started vomiting. I called the vet back, they told me to bring him in. They kept my animal and put him on an IV because he had another bad reaction to the shots and was dehydrated. We questioned why the chart wasn't looked at before giving shots, the owner of these clinics got mad, and defensive, told us to "take your animal and never come back"
