Experience: National Mold Testing specializes in mold testing, removal and replacement. That's it. The 'want to be' general contractors are just that - contractors looking to make big profits remediating/cleaning mold from your house or office. Many hire me (the owner/operator) to do their testing and cleanup because of my experience, creditably and lower prices. Many don't like the 'small' jobs because of their large overhead. Our laboratory: We have exclusively used sanair technologies laboratory (just out of Washington, DC) for the past six years. They provide consistently accurate test results and help us with our mold remediation processes. They are one of the highest rated labs in the country, and are far more professional than many local florida labs. Price and Service: Our prices are lower because NMT owners do much of the work. Why pay more? NMT works with other known contractors and craftsman when the remediation requires more expertise ie. Mold spore counts that are higher inside your house or office than outside is the definition of excess mold. Excess mold is caused by too much moisture. Most often it is obvious because of a leak in the wall, floors, windows or roof. Overflows from tubs, showers and air conditioning pans are common causes. Plumbing leaks, rainwater that has entered the house through the walls or roof also create excess mold problems. Less often it can be caused by excess humidity. Note: Many mold problems do not smell and can't be seen with the naked eye. Mold and its spores will continue to spread and grow as long as it goes untreated often causing destruction to your house, furnishings and clothes. Mold spores are spread through the air conditioning vents and the flow of air between rooms. Worse yet, it can affect your family's health with continual flu like symptoms.
