I saw Katharine Morse for acup...

I saw Katharine Morse for acupuncture to treat lower back pain. To start, we went through at least an hour of her lecturing me on an unrelated digestive issue. We finally made it to the acupuncture process, which seemed far shorter than any I've received in the past.

I didn't feel any relief immediately after my treatment. Having seen other acupuncturists, I knew this wasn't uncommon, so I asked her to treat me with the cupping procedure. Ms. Morse refused, saying it would be putting my body through too much. Each time I've had cupping done, it was immediately after an acupuncture treatment, but she was adamant that to do both on the same day wasn't good. Whatever...

To quote the email I sent their office: "I woke up during the night in just as much, if not more, pain as prior to my acupuncture treatment. I am disappointed to have not gotten ANY relief and even more frustrated that I could not receive a cupping

treatment yesterday as I asked. I am requesting to come in for a cupping treatment at no additional charge, because right now I feel really duped."

Ms. Morse called me shortly after I sent the email to say I could come in for a cupping treatment, but that she would not provide any sort of discount. Thank you, Ms. Morse, for confirming my suspicions that you wouldn't perform two perfectly complimentary treatments in one session because you wanted more money!

I can't comment on any other "specialist" in this practice. What I can tell you is if you are scheduled with Ms. Morse, consider going to someone who really knows what the body is capable of handling.
