  Alder completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Adult Gerontology at South University in Savannah, Georgia in 2018. In her first year as an NP she worked in cardiology and then transitioned into primary care. During the initial phase of Covid-19, she worked as a hospitalist providing care in the hospital. She has also worked as a rehab nurse practitioner in skilled nursing facilities providing care to long term and short term patients. Ms. Alder is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Teresa became a subject matter expert in the disease after spending years working closely with Helen Hayes Hospital in Haverstraw and the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, leading organizations in the field of Osteoporosis. Her expertise led toward the development and management of Osteoporosis Treatment and Prevention programs throughout New York and Florida.
