Teresa became a subject matter expert in the disease after spending years working closely with Helen Hayes Hospital in Haverstraw and the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, leading organizations in the field of Osteoporosis. Her expertise led toward the development and management of Osteoporosis Treatment and Prevention programs throughout New York and Florida. Teresa Imperiale-Westerfield is a member of the National Association of Orthopedic Nurses, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the National Osteoporosis Foundation.
