Ride Solution began operations in 1986 as ARC Transit. Through the Coordination of human service transportation into a one-size fits all schedule, Ride Solution has created a general public service for the citizens of Putnam County. Public utilization of the service produces a 50 boost in productivity. Public fares are $ 1 to destinations in-county and $ 2 to out-of-county. Florida Relay System 800-955-8771 or 800-955-8770 Ride Solution is located at 220 North 11th Street, Palatka, FL 32177 in the Palatka Train Station, open Monday - Friday 6am - 7pm, weekends 6am - 10am and 3pm - 7pm.

There needs to be change in the bus system here, especially for the poor, women that have children and be able to buy passes, like using a card to swipe or scan.
My 18 year old daughter took this bus from Palatka to Jacksonville 5 days a week for 2 months she encountered 2 problems one in each month she approached the bus driver nothing was done instead the driver yelled at me for saying something. same thing with the second incident the thing is the driver is racist. Because they were all colored and my daughter isn't. They are racist there was a problem that should be taken care of and it wasn't because my daughter is white. The thing is neither problem was approached then the driver had to tell my daughter that she has to sit up front I don't think so !!!! She pays just like everyone else if she have to sit in a specific spot so does everyone else !! Its not right plus the driver said she the on starting the issue when she not I was there. both incidents she didn't start the other people did so quit making this a Rosa Parks scene and do something about your racist drivers ! Wheather they been there a month or 50 years this problem needs to be solved or I'm going to head quarters !!!
They run to and from Palatka and Gainesville once per day and that is at 7:30 am. I took the Amtrak from West Palm Beach expecting to be able to get to Gainesville relatively cheap and easy. I had to wait an hour for a disgusting taxi in Palatka to pick me up and it cost more to get to Gainesville from there than it did to get to Palatka from West Palm. Going back to Palatka to catch the return train ride home is the same problem, they only leave Gainesville at 3pm while the train leaves Palatka at about 10 am. Also to note, the their website does not work on android devices, so figure out what app you need to access there website on a phone.I hope someone will make sense of this review and plan accordingly. They were rude and unhelpful to boot at the office in Palatka.
I was thinking. What if ride solution started something like this,'On the first and third friday of each month add a[ shop-time lunch-time bus]to palatka from crescent city for those who would like to do some things without so much rush-rush.'Hours would be 9am to 3pm ..Mind you, these rides would be by telephone appointment only and at least 5 riders per trip,this will eliminate dude trips..please consider this respectful request..Most Respectfully Requested, Louis Kelley
