Established in 1978, Maui Youth and Family Services is a private nonprofit agency, and is located in Paia, Hawaii. It provides a range of behavioral and mental health programs to their children and families. It offers services, including youth substance abuse prevention and residential substance abuse disorder treatment. Its substance abuse residential program offers education, coping skills and other concrete strategies for maintaining a clean and sober lifestyle. Its residential services include emergency youth shelters, group homes, independent living and community-based residential programs. It provides school-based programs to prevent adolescent substance abuse, violent behaviors, gang involvement, teen pregnancy and tobacco use.
