Dr. Riley D. Love, MD joined the Pain Management Center of Paducah on Monday, July 2nd, 2018. Dr. Love, along with his nurse practitioner Julie Heeb, became staff members and began treating their private patients, as well as new patients in new permanent offices. Dr. Love gives treatments at the Ambulatory Surgery Center located at 2831 Lone Oak Rd and Julie Heeb, NP is seeing new patients and doing follow-up appointments at the Pain Management Pavilion at 67 Lakeview Drive in Lone Oak. Dr. Riley Love is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia and the University of Missouri School of Medicine. He underwent internship and residency at Mt. Zion Hospital [UCSF] in San Francisco, California. He practiced full-time emergency medicine and was the Medical Director of the Emergency Departments at Lassen Memorial Hospital in Susanville, California and Memorial South Hospital in Modesto, California. Subsequently, he completed his residency in Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. He moved to Paducah in 1992 and started the pain programs at both Lourdes and Western Baptist hospitals. He has been a member of many professional societies including the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), and the Kentucky Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (KYSIPP). He has been certified as a Medical Review Officer. He is certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology with sub-certification in Pain Management. He has been presented with the Physician’s Recognition Award by the American Medical Association. He has published dozens of articles in the popular media and in his spare time has authored four screenplays.
