Established in 2001, Rio del Norte Elementary School is a coeducational institution that serves students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers academic instruction in music, art, physical education, math, science, social studies and life skills. Rio del Norte Elementary School has a guidance counseling department that communicates with parents, teachers and administrators regarding student issues and needs. It has a library media center that provides an extensive collection of materials for direct classroom instruction and professional staff development. The school offers a dual immersion magnet program, which emphasis on English and Spanish classes. Rio del Norte Elementary School is a part of the Rio School District and is located in Oxnard, Calif.
