Founded in 1945, McCartney Construction Company offers grading, paving, and concrete and site work services. It produces dolomitic limestone and quartzite for road base, ready-mix concrete and general construction purposes. McCartney Construction Company features two facilities, Speedway Quarry and Coldwater Quarry. Its sister company, Calhoun Asphalt Company, operates a hot mix plant in Alabama. McCartney Construction Company serves clients in Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Dekalb, Etowah, Marshall, Randolph, St. Clair and Talladega counties in Alabama. It has received the Quality Pavement Award from the Alabama Asphalt Pavement Association. McCartney Construction Company is a member of the National Asphalt Pavement Association. McCartney Construction Company s projects include I-20 Project and Golden Springs Road.
