Established in 1913, Daviess County Public Library was previously known as Carnegie Free Public Library. Located in Owensboro, Ky., it has a collection of 170,000 books, 10,000 movies and audiotapes, 42 newspapers and 14 CD-ROM programs for public use. The library offers readers advisory and youth services. Daviess County Public Library operates in an area of 46,500 square feet having two floors and a full basement. It serves approximately 92,000 people in Owensboro and Daviess County. The library operates reference, audio visual and circulation department.
