General Info

Dr. Patel is board certified in internal medicine with subspecialties in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology. His expertise includes general and interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular interventions. In addition to coronary angioplasty and stent placement, Dr. Patel specializes in complex coronary interventions like ablation and chronic total occlusion interventions. He performs intravascular ultrasound, intracardiac ultrasound and percutaneous closure of the patent foramen ovale and atrial septal defects. Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from the Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College in Ahmedabad, India. After completing his internal medicine residency, he served as chief resident at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse. He completed a cardiology fellowship and a one year interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Connecticut.
