Not impressed with service or atmosphere. Food is average. Desserts are overpriced. 2 young female servers obviously can not work without adult supervision. They spend too much time in the kitchen or outside the front entrance smoking or talking on cellphones. Restaurant customers use restrooms in the hotel lobby-hallway that are not clean & odor free. Have mexican house keeping staff that CAN NOT speak english which give appearance of undocumented illegal aliens. This customer will not patronize businesses that choose to hire illegals while american citizens are unemployed in record numbers during this economic crisis. Deport illegals, hire american citizens and help end this economic catastrophy.

Compared to Applebee's & Roe's, Second Street Cafe could use a facelift and new furnishings. Their slices of pie are overpriced and they only offer chocolate and apple. Banana & lemon would be nice menue additions. The wait staff is slow to take your order and sometimes in hiding or outside the front entrance smoking during slow periods and do not see patrons enter from the hotel lobby. If you sit at the bar they often do not see you sitting behind a large pillar. Best to wait for them to seat you so they know you are there. You must use the restrooms in the hotel lobby/hallway which are seldom clean, deodorized and restocked with paper products. Too often the men's room has a strong urine odor and the floor needs to be mopped and the toilet & urinals need to be wiped clean, sanitized and deodorized hourly. Repeat customers are lost due to the condition of public restrooms.
