Bones Transportation, founded in 1984 and located in Ottawa, Kan., is a family-owned and operated trucking business. Transportation, Inc., is a subsidiary of Bones Transportation, serving as a freight brokerage for end-dump equipment. It operates more than 35 tractors and trailers throughout the United States and Canada. Its trailers are 39 feet in length and haul more than 20 tons and over 60 cubic yards of material. Bones Transportation hauls various commodities, such as rock and sand, crushed glass, grain, ice control salt, scrap metal, rubber chips, fertilizer, feed, bakery waste, apples, and coal and coke. It also provides landscape rock, and ball field dirt and warning track material for baseball fields, ice-control salt for road treatment and bunker sand for golf courses.
