The LaSalle County Sheriff's Office is a full-service law enforcement agency that provides law enforcement duties and court and jail security services. It has trained personnel to provide local law enforcement and emergency medical services in emergency situations. The department s communication division provides various services, such as receiving and dispatching emergency and nonemergency requests for fire and emergency medical services. It offers the D.A.R.E program for school children that include a curriculum related to drug abuse resistance strategies. The department is operated by LaSalle County, which also operates other departments, such as health, parks and recreation, clerk, treasurer and highway departments. The LaSalle County Sheriff's Office is located in Ottawa, Ill.
