General Info

Founded in 1868, Trinity Episcopal Church is part of the Anglican Communion throughout the world. We are both catholic-true to the historic Christian faith-and Protestant-reformed and evangelical. Our only required confessions of faith are the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds, which we share with all of Christendom. Our profession of faith is in Holy Baptism and Confirmation. Our central act of worship is the Holy Communion (the Eucharist). In the Tabernacle of the High Altar, we reserve the Holy Sacrament, the previously consecrated bread and wine (the Body and Blood of Christ) for the sick. It is important that visitors respect our Lord's presence in the church at all times with silence and reverencing of the Altar. We worship in accordance with the Book of Common Prayer (1979) and sing hymns from the 1940 and 1982 Hymnals and from Lift Every Voice and Sing, all of which are published by the authority of the General Convention of the Episcopal Church.
