Oskaloosa Food Products Corporation is among the world s leaders in the egg industry. The company s products include yolk blends, salt yolk, sugar yolk, standard albumen egg whites, whole egg free flow and yolk free flow. John Van Zetten and Archibald Shannon founded the company in 1938. The initial focus of the firm was intended toward processing live poultry with the breaking and grading of cartoned eggs. During World War II, the company supplied the United States Government with large amounts of chicken and eggs for distribution to the armed services throughout the world. Oskaloosa Food adopted its present corporate title in 1962. The company is headquartered in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
