Richard Margaitis, DO, is an award-winning, fellowship-trained physician who specializes in sports medicine at AdventHealth Medical Group’s academic family medicine practice. He is board certified in both family medicine and neuromusculoskeletal medicine and has advanced skills in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound as well as platelet-rich plasma therapy and prolotherapy to treat a wide variety of sports injuries. Dr. Margaitis also has advanced training in the use of craniosacral therapy to address migraines, temporomandibular joint problems and other issues. His credentials include his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, internship and residency at Florida Hospital (now AdventHealth) East Orlando, and dual fellowships in neuromuscular medicine and sports medicine at AdventHealth and East Carolina University, respectively.Â
