This delivery service is unreasonable. They give you a 4 hour window the day before (which sucks, but may be standard delivery service protocol) so you have to scramble to make your schedule free. If you live in a condo complex, you also have to coordinate things like the service elevator. Well...after taking off work from 1-4, the guy arrives at noon (an hour early!). While I was available, I didn't answer my phone immediately because I wasn't sitting there staring at it. Without even trying to coordinate with me, he leaves and tries to come back later. No big deal. Well, when he comes back the second time, another person was using the service elevator so he leaves again without communicating with me. I call him and he is a smart a$$ about it. Service dude: If you come before or after the 4 HOUR window, don't expect us to be there waiting. This may come at a surprise to you, but some people can't wait around an entire work day for a delivery that is outside of the time window. Advice to them: communicate with your customer and they can probably arrange something. Don't just leave to go to lunch or whatever and give up immediately. Now...they are going to try to bring the delivery in a week. I told them I'm not taking off work again, so they're going to "try" to give me a PM delivery. SO FRUSTRATING! If Home Depot continues to use them, I'd recommend going to Lowe's or some other service.
