Abu Hurairah, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with advanced fellowship training in gastroenterology, hepatology and transplant hepatology. A graduate of the distinguished Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan, he completed his internal medicine residency at Harvard Medical School and his fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and the State University of New York at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, respectively. A noted clinician and researcher, he is published extensively in the medical literature, with recent topics including colon cancer screening disparities and modifiable risk factors in specific populations, and outcomes of hepatorenal syndrome.
