Common areas of involvement are the face, lips, hands, arms, legs, and genital areas. Vitiligo affects one or two of every 100 people. Most people with vitiligo are in good general health, although vitiligo may occur with other autoimmune diseases such as thyroid disease.

Using 650 microsecond technology, a high energy pulse is delivered into both the epidermis and deeper dermis. Little to no discomfort is felt during the procedure because 650 microseconds is below the thermal relaxation time of the skin, therefore the skin has time to cool itself unlike long pulse lasers that may cause heat to build up and cause discomfort.
