I've been a member a few years and I like it, particularly in the winter. In the early mornings and evenings it's sometimes crowded, but mid-day is usually fine and plenty of equipment is available. I went to the Gold's Gym on 900 East in Orem a few times, and it's bigger, but had a hard time finding a functional sound system for the TVs in front of the treadmills ---but have had few problems on 800 north.

The gym wasn't the best. I had a 2 year contract, and I tried cancelling it a year ago, and at first they wouldn't cancel it and kept charging my account. Finally, after months of dozens of calls, I got my bank to help me and reverse the charges. A few months later I started getting calls from golds gym saying I now had late fees. The thing is with the way the charge backs at the bank work is that after 40 days if the company doesn't do anything, they literally can't do anything about it legally. Golds Gym complained and said they were going to report bad credit on me. I got a hold of one of the service reps who would actually help me. She canceled my account, but charged me 127.73. I was glad everything was finally over, but just in the past month they started calling me again and sending me letters saying they were going to report bad credit, due to me still owing them money. Ridiculous.
