General Info
Our company was founded in 1968 by a young married couple who began their lives as orphans, Richard (Dick) Peterson and wife Donna. They started their company with no help other than their teamwork and commitment. Dick, a Navy Veteran, became a Master Plumber, and Donna became one of Texas’ first female plumbers. And they did it all while raising a family & volunteering in Boy and Girl Scouts, PTA, and other civic and charitable organizations. Work was seven days a week, and vacations were non-existent. Despite several economic downturns in the U.S. and three major Hurricanes, which destroyed much of what the couple had built, A-1 Peterson Plumbing has survived to celebrate 54 years in business! Unfortunately, Mr. Peterson passed away after Hurricane Rita in 2006, but his legacy survives through his wife and two sons, William “Bill” and Richard II, and daughter Donna.

This business has gotten my company out of many plumbing messes over the years! Even after hours and on Christmas EVE! This family also does so much for the community and gives back, I'm proud to tell people that they are my plumbers and to recommend them to others. Congratulations on 46 years in Business!

Congratulations to my Plumbers for being in buisness for 47 years.... what a testament to a great family and good buisness work ethic.... Its nice to feel safe doing business with a Honest Company... !
Just wanted to say Thanks for fixing my gas leak. I couldn't get any other plumber to come out, but Your plumber came out after regular hours and got me repaired so that I would not have to go without gas over the weekend. My father is a Vietnam Veteran and is in a wheelchair so we would have had to go to a Hotel. My family is grateful to the Peterson's! I

I called A1 when my water heater burst late one night, and my regular plumber didn't answer! They came out and worked until 11PM to get my water back on (we have a new baby in our house)! Thank Heaven for A-1 and the Peterson Family!

I hired a plumber to fix a water leak at my home. Two days and $500 later, THAT plumber called A1 to come out and A1 had it fixed in a few hours! A1 has pipe cameras and water blasters, which most plumbing companies don't have. No wonder I see A1's trucks at the Chemical Plants and Apartment complexes. I hope I don't have to call a plumber again, but if I do, I have A1 on speed dial! Thanks, Andy in Bridge City
